Justin left university and joined what was BDO East Anglia and through various mergers and office moves, ended up at RSM Cambridge for over 28 years before making the decision to join PEM.
His career has been almost entirely audit focused, working on owner manager business, FCA clients, education sector, PE backed business as well as subsidiaries of listed entities. A broad mix of clients helped Justin understand the various risks faced by organisations.
Justin is responsible for delivering a high quality and efficient audit to our clients and being a point of contact who will always be on hand to deal with any queries that may arise. Justin’s role will also include the development of the team, and help PEM Trainee Accountants reach their full potential.
After almost 29 years in audit, Justin has experienced most scenarios, and if not, he knows where to look to resolve any issues arising. Justin has a positive can-do attitude which means he looks for solutions to problems. At times, difficult conversations need to be had and he makes sure to address them head on to ensure that a successful outcome is achieved. Working in audit means working in part of a team, and Justin has the experience and skills to manage that team to ensure goals are met.
In his spare time, Justin is a fanatic runner and enjoys to visit places and at the same time around them, normally at organised events. Justin got the running bug a few years ago and it is now normal for him to run 4-5 ultra events per year each between 50k – 100k.
