The PEM Charitable Trust are delighted to donate a grant of £1,500 to Cogwheel Counselling which will help support their counselling support fund, making counselling sessions accessible for those on lower incomes.
Cogwheel Counselling are a local Cambridgeshire based charity who provide counselling services to individuals of all ages: children, teenagers, young adults, adults and the elderly.
On the donation, Isabelle Dolis, Head of Services said:
“Cogwheel is grateful to PEM for their generous donation. This will support more clients unable to make our basic level of contribution access counselling. We introduced the Cogwheel Counselling Support Fund (CCSF) in 2021 to enable those individuals in need of psychological support to access our services despite finding themselves in particularly strained financial circumstances. The CCSF enables us to lower the session contribution levels to £10 for those unable to work. In 2023, 67 clients were able to access 20 sessions of counselling through this initiative.”
Amy Hayden, PEM’s CSR and Community Lead said:
“We are thrilled to support local charity Cogwheel Counselling with their aim to make counselling accessible to all. It’s unfortunately a growing need which is frankly not viable for those on lower incomes, so we are really proud to have been able to support Cogwheel’s support fund.”
