PEM Charitable Trust supports emerging artists and The Museum of Cambridge.

Towards the end of 2024, The Museum of Cambridge applied for a grant to fund an exciting new exhibition called Head StArt for Cambridgeshire’s Emerging Artists. This project aimed to support three young artists from deprived areas of Cambridgeshire to create and display an original piece of work that celebrates the county’s artistic heritage.

PEM were delighted to fund the project with a grant of £1500 from the PEM Charitable Trust.

Working with local colleges, the museum selected three young artists from Long Road Sixth Form College and the College of West Anglia.

Claire Jackson (Private Client Senior Manager), Amy Hayden (ESG and Community Lead) and Hannah West (Marketing and Events Executive) were delighted to attend the exhibition opening and meet the young artists, who are incredibly talented. The exhibition has been extended until 20 April, 2025 and is well worth a visit!

“With PEM’s support, the Museum of Cambridge has been able to create opportunities for local young artists that connect art, education and social history. We are proud to display unique pieces of artwork created by talented artists in the Museum’s temporary exhibition ‘Educating Cambridge'” – Beau Brannick, Collections Officer at Museum of Cambridge
