Luke started his career within a small independent accountancy practice where he gained experience in accounts, business tax and personal tax. Since qualifying in 2013, he joined PEM in 2021 as assistant manager, and promoted to manager in 2023.
Luke is responsible for a broad range of SME clients in various sectors including owner-managed businesses, property companies, start-ups and firms in the bioscience and technology sectors. Luke also carries out compliance services relating to accounts, business and personal taxation including VAT and ad-hoc advisory advice. He works closely with our VFO, business and personal tax teams.
Luke’s strengths include: early stage science and technology start-ups, handling compliance and R&D tax claim support. He also assists with grant claim reporting, and providing guidance through funding rounds and other specialist advice required by fast growing organisations.
Property Sector – handling compliance requirements (statutory accounts reporting, corporation tax and personal tax returns). He is skilled in advising on a holistic basis considering corporate and personal implications.
His key hobbies include playing snooker, and he is the current 2023 PEM pool champion! Luke also enjoys going on adventures with his dog.
